narrative writing
This term in room 2 we have been making our own monster's and making it look like they are in real
life setting's.We got our inspiration from a mini movie called the lost thing directed by shawn tan.
We set to work on making our photo's look believable like the thing's that were actually there and this is
mine and how my thing turned out.
And that is how my thing turned out.

Museum trip
Last Monday we took a class trip to the Nelson provincial museum, the whole senior syndicate went separately. We learnt lots from Nicky who is one of the workers at the Nelson museum.
Nicky was so impressed with our class behavior that she called mrs Gulbransen to tell her. We had lots of fun and hope we do it again.

Tree Planting
We had a fantastic time tree planting. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of parents to help us. We walked down past Nayland College to Wakatau Drive. The ground was full of rocks and it was really hard work. We had to dig the hole, put the native tree in and cover it with a piece of carpet to protect it. At the end we all got given a Kowhai tree to take home.
Steve showed us how to plant the trees |
