Milk in School

At Nayland Primary we are starting Milk In Schools today. We watched a video yesterday on how Milk in School works.

5 days a week after lunch we will each get a small drink of milk. We have to drink the box dry by tilting the box up and putting the straw in the corner of the box and slurping it dry. After we have slurped the box dry we fold the box up to a neat wee package and then we put it into the recycling bin.

One time a week the milk man or lady will bring the school quite a few boxes of milk and they will take the old boxes of empty milk away and make it into books for children like us in Thailand.

I hope to see how many people like the milk and how many people think it could be better also

  1. Hi Liam and Sarah!

We have milk at our school too! We used to have it at brain break but we found we had little time for anything else, so now we have it at morning tea time. It works heaps better for us.
What do you like about having milk at school?
